Memories - Ravenclaw
I was sorted in Ravenclaw (but the Sorting Hat thought that I would have been a fantastic Gryffindor if I had wanted). Although all my new friends comes from Hufflepuff (and I know some people who love Gryffindor), I prefer Ravenclaw because I'm clever (people say this, of course), I'm an hard-worker and I love study!

Ravenclaw Bachelor will always stay with me in my HOL/Ravenclaw memory bank. I mean come on. Cassie and I went rounds about all sorts of random things. The fact that I began my Cassie for Head Office Campaign and that she started her Shut Up Ryan Rampage. I have never laughed so much with a single event than that one. I had so much fun being a judge and seeing all the wonderful entries, but being a judge is just as hard as or even harder than being a contestant. But the fact of the matter is; I’m glad I did it. I can’t think Cassie enough for all the fun times we had in a p2p screaming our heads off because I didn’t want to break someone’s heart. But it usually ended up in something stupid that had nothing to do with anything in Bachelor. I must say she probably wants to break my Caps Lock key. Along with a lot of people << But I will always remember that memory!

In December 2010, the monthly Ravenclaw activity was Candy Cane Slide. The aim of game was to form a team and complete a task every day. The teams who completed the task correctly for that day got to roll a dice and move up that many spaces on the game board. The game board was like snakes and ladders but instead of snakes there was candy canes, and strings of fairy lights replaced the ladders!
Anyway, so my team was Celeste Cordelia, Bianca Delacroix, and myself. We had the worst luck!! We always rolled either a 1 or 2, while other teams were rolling 6's and getting miles ahead of us. The funniest part of Candy Cane Slide was when Celeste figured out the answer to the days puzzle and PM'd it to us. Me and Bianca congratulated her for getting it right etc. etc. The next day she comes and tells us that she didn't send it in and specifically asked us to do it for her... so both of us didn't read the PM properly and we lost our chance for that day :(
Candy Cane Slide was amazingly fun and interactive and Rosanna Gullveig did a great job organising it. It is a memory of the Roost I will never forget.

My first summer camp experience in HOL came in the summer after I *finally* graduated from my 6th year. I had only been active in HOL again since February of that year, after more than two year of near total inactivity. Somehow I found myself in a group with a couple of amazing Eagles, Arielle Lemoyne, Zoe Daniels, and Danni-Luna Starchild. Unfortunately Zoe and Danni have gone passive since last summer, but perhaps they will come back. The four of us made up the team of the Serengeti Searching Bush Babies, though we usually just called ourselves Bush Babies, after our adorable mascot. That summer was perhaps my favourite summer of all the summers I have been a member of HOL. From it, I gained several close friends, not just from my team, but from fellow competitors. Summer camp is an excellent example of what HOL, and indeed Hogwarts, is all about: friendly competition in an educational and supportive atmosphere. I finally started drawing again thanks to summer camp; there really was little bad. Coming in second place overall and first in the final task "Name that Animal" didn't hurt much either. :D

Well one of my most vivid memories of all of my time here in Ravenclaw was definitely PiT. I still think I have the very first message ever sent to me by Alexia Riaper. With Alexia being Head Prefect at the time I signed-up, she was the one that was going to lead us on our quest to greatness. Alexia was out searching for brave Eagles to take on the dangerous task of Prefect in Training Camp. Nothing like Summer Camp or BBO, because PiT is clearly an experience in its own. If you ever want to become a Prefect you first must go through PiT. Well, I along with many other eaglets thought that PiT would be fun and if we were lucky enough, make it to Reserve Prefect-hood. We had no idea how horribly hard it was going to be, or how painful it was either. We got the first message and Alexia explained what was going to happen in the training process. The months went on and we finally received another message, this time with a task. A few more weeks passed and another task was presented to us. This continued for a while. After a long wait, I’m talking a VERY long wait, it’s like waiting in line at the DMV or waiting for the next Harry Potter Movie to come out. It was a horrendous wait knowing that just a few of us would soon have our HOL futures changed forever. It was a message on the Perch Section. Welcome Your New Reserves! I read the message and started dancing I survived! I mean, I passed Alexia’s grueling, yet very fun task. So that’s my PiT experience! I hope many more eagles go through the program and have just as much fun as I did!
